Sewage Treatment (STP): The Living Ecosystem

How it Works
STPs mimic the natural purification process of a river but at an accelerated pace.

  • Screening: Large debris (plastics, rags) is mechanically removed.
  • Aeration: Air is pumped into large tanks where "aerobic" bacteria break down human waste.
  • Clarification: The bacteria (activated sludge) settle to the bottom, leaving clear water at the top.
  • Tertiary Treatment: The water is filtered and ozonized to ensure it is colorless and odorless before it is reused for landscaping or toilet flushing.
